DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Scope:

An experienced professional responsible for developing the core network infrastructure for the subsea cable system, ensuring business growth and the sustainability of network product services.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Construction & Upgrade of Subsea Cable System

- Review system design documentation and acceptance test results for the subsea cable system.

- Oversee the installation, configuration, and acceptance testing of the subsea cable system.

- Monitor and review project progress against billing milestones with the vendor.

- Represent the company in consortium construction group meetings.

2. Deployment & Upgrade of SLTE

- Prepare RFP/Tender documents for the deployment of SLTE.

- Evaluate RFP/Tender proposals and recommend the best solution for the company.

- Review system design documentation and acceptance test results for SLTE.

- Oversee the installation, configuration, and acceptance testing of SLTE.

- Monitor and review project progress against billing milestones with the vendor.

3. Subsea Cable System Operations & Maintenance

- Handover project documentation to the relevant operations team/NOC to ensure smooth operations and maintenance of the subsea cable system and SLTE.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, Information System or related disciplines
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in subsea cable system and/or transmission platform development preferably in ISP/ICT business environment
• Sound knowledge on subsea cable system and Layer 1 transmission technology including OTN, SDH and DWDM technology
• Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Project management skills
• Good communication in English and inter-personal skills
