DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure across data center and hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Design & Implementation

• Design and implement infrastructure across on-premise and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud)
• Deploy and manage compute, storage, networking, and virtualization systems
• Collaborate with Product and internal teams to support new services and solutions
• Standardize deployments using automation tools (e.g. Ansible)

Operations & Support (Tier 3)

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues
• Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance aligned with SLAs/KPIs
• Perform system upgrades, patching, tuning, and capacity planning
• Coordinate with vendors for incident resolution and escalation
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation

Customer Delivery & Implementation

• Lead implementation and provisioning for Cloud solutions and Managed Services
• Ensure smooth customer onboarding and handover for the team operations
• Manage and implement complex customer change requests
• Provide technical solutions and support to customers

Automation & Process Improvement

• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible
• Create scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Shell
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks
• Improve operational efficiency by reducing manual processes

Monitoring & Performance Management

• Monitor infrastructure, systems, and network performance
• Proactively identify and resolve performance issues
• Enhance monitoring, alerting, and reporting mechanisms

Security & Compliance

• Enforce security standards and best practices (e.g. ISO27001)
• Support audit and compliance requirements

Service Quality & Governance

• Ensure service delivery meets internal SLAs, KPIs, and operational standards
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering
• Experience in ISP, ICT, or enterprise environments
• Exposure to customer-facing or managed services environments is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (written and spoken)

Technical Skills

Core Infrastructure

• Windows Server and Linux administration
• Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPN, firewall)
• Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Storage systems (SAN, NAS)

Cloud Platforms

• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or Alibaba Cloud
• Understanding of hybrid infrastructure environments

Automation

• Strong experience with Ansible
• Scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Shell
• Experience in automation of infrastructure operations

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Familiar with monitoring and alerting tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft / Azure / AWS certifications
• VMware (VCP)
• Linux certifications (LPI or equivalent)
• CloudFlare
