Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Analyst with hands-on experience in project revenue accounting and budgeting to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate revenue recognition, support financial forecasting, and provide analytical insights to drive business decisions. This role requires 2–3 years of direct experience in revenue accounting for projects (e.g., percentage-of-completion, milestone billing, or contract-based revenue).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform project revenue accounting in compliance with HKFRS 15/IFRS 15, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivables.
- Manage budgeting and rolling forecasting for revenue based on existing projects profile and order booking estimation from Sales Team
- Prepare monthly revenue reports, variance analysis and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Sales Team and Billing Team to validate project milestones, contract terms, and billing schedules.
- Support month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations between various systems.
- Maintain revenue schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Identify process improvements in revenue tracking and reporting systems.
- Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis and management reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in project-based revenue accounting (e.g., construction, software, professional services, or long-term contracts).
- Strong understanding of HKFRS 15 / IFRS 15 and revenue recognition principles.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PowerQuery, PivotTables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA, CPA candidate, or progress toward certification is required.
