Job Summary
The Bid Specialist manages the full bid lifecycle for complex IT solutions and services, ensuring proposals are strategic, compliant, and compelling. The role requires strong project management, commercial judgment, and stakeholder engagement to win high-value contracts in competitive markets.
Key Responsibilities
1) Opportunity Qualification
• Collaborative Assessment: Work closely with Sales, Solutions, and Commercial teams to review RFx documents and assess strategic fit, technical feasibility, and commercial viability.
• Bid/No-Bid Decision: Facilitate structured discussions with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on risk, resource availability, and profitability before making a bid/no-bid recommendation.
• Team Engagement: Encourage open communication and consensus-building during qualification meetings to ensure all perspectives—technical, financial, and operational—are considered.
• Strategic Alignment: Confirm that the opportunity supports organizational goals and leverages team strengths for maximum win probability.
2) Bid Planning & Strategy
• Define win themes, value propositions, and competitive differentiators.
• Develop bid plans, timelines, and governance checkpoints.
3) Proposal Management
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Sales, Solutions, Finance, Legal) to produce high-quality responses.
• Ensure proposals meet client requirements and internal compliance standards.
4) Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as the single point of contact for all bid-related communications.
• Drive alignment across commercial, technical and operational stakeholders.
• Present bid strategies and outcomes to senior leadership.
5) Risk & Compliance
• Identify contractual and commercial risks, work with Legal and Finance for mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements and internal standards.
6) Continuous Improvement
• Conduct post-bid reviews and maintain a bid library for future efficiency.
• Analyze bid performance metrics (win/ loss, pricing trends, customer behavior, etc)
• Support performance reporting and strategic decision-making by generating insights and improving win rates by using data analysis
• Assist with ad hoc business analytics and operational tasks as required

• Power Tools Expertise: Ability to leverage Power BI for analytics and Power Automate for workflow efficiency.
• Presentation Skills: Strong capability to create and deliver compelling presentations to senior stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in bid management, proposal coordination, or related roles.

Proven experience in the IT industry, preferably with ICT services, system integration, managed services, or cloud solutions.

Hands-on experience managing bids for data center (DC) solutions, network services, and other IT services such as cybersecurity, cloud migration, and managed SASE.
